Elevating the Education Experience

Dear St. Thomas of Villanova Parents,

The Archdiocese has requested ALL schools use an online Tuition Management Plan. We use FACTS because of the Tuition Assistance/Financial Aid component. This plan offers flexibility to families. FACTS services are used by over 7,000 schools. The overwhelming majority of Arch schools use FACTS and love it.

Families are able to pay their tuition in one of 4 ways:

  1. Payment in full due August. There is no fee for this option
  2. Semester payments in August & February. There is a $20 FACTS fee per family, per year for this option
  3. Quarterly payments in July/October/January/April. There is a $40 FACTS fee per family, per year for this option
  4. 10 monthly payments beginning in August. There is a $40 FACTS fee per family, per year for this option

Payments will be processed by FACTS in one of two methods. The first is having your payment transferred by your bank on the 5th or 20th of the month. The family can select their date.

Parents can also use a credit card. Payments are also made on the 5th or 20th, and can be made by using Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. These credit card companies do charge a “service fee” of 2.85% which is in addition to the FACTS fee.

Parents can view all of their payment activity online, change payment method from month to month, make additional payments, view previous/upcoming payments, print Flexible Spending Account statements and print tax statements. Parents will also be able to pay for all the incidental fees such as field trips, Hot Dog days, Before/After Care, etc. on FACTS.

Another service from FACTS that we utilize is their Financial Aid application. All families applying for Financial Aid will go through FACTS. There is a $25 fee per application.  If you have a child that attends another school that utilizes FACTS you may share your application and pay the one-time fee.

To sign up for your payment plan and to apply for Financial Aid, go to our school’s website and click on the FACTS logo.

Please call the office with any questions.

Sincerely,

Principal Martino

Tuition Payments

Tuition includes books, educational materials, educational events and sacramental expenses. STV offers the tuition management services of FACTS Payment Plans and Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment for payment of tuition and for the processing of financial aid.

Tuition may be paid using one of the following payment schedule plans:

  • 10 Months (August – May) paid on the 5th or 20th of the month
  • Quarterly (July, Oct, Jan, April) paid on the 5th or 20th of the month
  • Semi Annual (August 1, 2019 and February 1, 2020)
  • Full Payment (August or September 2019)
  • Other Arrangement (approved by Pastor and Principal)

Tuition Reimbursement Through Fundraising

Tuition costs can be reduced through participation in the Dollar Shopping Power (DSP) Gift Card Program, Track-a-Thon and Lottery fundraisers. For every dollar of “earned profits” in DSP and every dollar raised through Track-a-Thon and Lottery, 50 cents will be returned to the family as a credit on the tuition statement/bill after the designated fundraiser closes. This split of profits begins with the first dollar raised.

NOTE: The fundraising credit maximum is equal to the total annual tuition the family is responsible for paying. Credits in excess of this tuition total will remain with the school and will not be returned to the family.

Apply For Financial Assistance

We are pleased to offer FACTS Payment Plans and Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment on the same platform. Enrolling in a FACTS tuition payment plan allows you to select a payment option that best suits your financial needs. If you would like to view the plans offered by our school, please review the information provided by FACTS.  We also accept tax credit scholarship or TCS. Also, please visit the websites of the Archdiocese of Chicago and Empower Illinois for more information.

We encourage families to first apply at https://empowerillinois.org. Empower Illinois helps families choose the best education for their child, regardless of their ability to pay, by providing scholarships to Illinois students to attend private K-8 schools. Once your child is enrolled at St. Thomas of Villanova, you may be eligible for financial assistance. To be considered (with your K-8th grade tuition) please complete the application at Empower Illinois scholarships by May 1st.

No matter your circumstances, St. Thomas is willing to work with and accommodate unique financial situations. If this applies to you please feel free to contact the Principal’s Office by phone (847) 358-2110 or email at stvprincipal@stvschool.org to discuss further options.
