St. Thomas Wins the NWCC Championship!

St. Thomas Wins the NWCC Championship!!!  First time in school history and first for a school our size, the STV Viking Runners won the Overall Cross Country Championship. It was a complete team effort. One Team One Goal = Accomplished. Remarkable effort by all St. Thomas runners.  

JV Boys – 1st Place. First ever boys league championship. Andrew Jordan finished first for the league title. Tony Iliopoulos 2nd, Jack Castelli 4th, Michael Nix 11th and Sammy Hamilton 17th.  
Varsity Girls – 1st Place. League Champions again. Anne Marie Jordan completes her NWCC career, going 3 years in a row without a single loss. 3rd league title to go along with a 2nd place when she was in 5th Grade. Katie Castelli 2nd, Melody Michna-Harlow 6th, Caitlin Quinn 8th and Caden Bargowski 11th.  
JV Girls – 3rd Place. Best race of the year for these girls who improved more than any team. Caroline Kawiecki 3rd, Anna Martino 8th for the JV Girls
Varsity Boys – 5th place. In a tough field the Varsity Boys also had their best race of the year. Scoring fifth and combined with the other three teams, got the Vikings to the overall league title. Anthony Westfall 5th and Tyler Murphy 10th.
Open Race – Great day all around. Ethan Leigh came in 2nd for the boys and Garrett Colbrook 5th. Nora Loftus came in 5th for the girls.  
Every runner had an amazing day and most set a personal best. It was a complete team effort. Thank you to all the Viking fans, you could feel the energy.
